Hi there! My name is Victoria Bowcutt, but you can call me
Tori. I’m a junior Accounting and Information Systems Major from Annapolis,
Maryland. Outside of academics, I enjoy exploring community service and social
entrepreneurship through my involvement with the National Service Fraternity
Alpha Phi Omega and the University of Maryland’s chapter of Net Impact.
However, these organizations only take me so far off campus, which is why I
needed to experience an alternative break. During my time in Chicago, I hope to
obtain a deeper perspective of a specific issue that interests me-
socioeconomic equity. Through direct service to communities in need, I want to
better understand how individuals become in need, and more importantly, how to
get everyone either the help they need or to a place where they can help
themselves.
